Jennifer B. Holdener

Certified Family Law Specialist

Jennifer Holdener is the founder of Holdener Law Group, a family law practice dedicated to providing compassionate, yet strategic legal representation to individuals and families navigating some of life's most challenging moments. With over a decade of experience in the legal field, Ms. Holdener is committed to supporting her clients through complex family law matters with both a firm hand and a compassionate approach.

A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Ms. Holdener earned a double major in Psychology and Law & Society, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. Ms. Holdener earned her J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, where she worked at a civil litigation firm handling a wide range of cases, from commercial real estate to environmental and business disputes. She also interned at the Placer County District Attorney’s Office and volunteered at the Victims of Crime Representation Clinic, expanding her understanding of the legal needs of individuals in crisis.

After passing the bar in 2009, Ms. Holdener began practicing general civil litigation, covering areas such as personal injury, premises liability, and real property disputes. However, her passion for helping individuals through life's emotional and difficult transitions led her to specialize exclusively in family law in 2014. Since then, she has dedicated her practice to divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, property division, guardianships, and more. She became a Certified Family Law Specialist in 2022.

Her firm is built on a foundation of trust, expertise, and a deep understanding of the complexities of family law. Ms. Holdener is passionate about providing clients with the support and guidance they need to move forward with confidence during some of life’s most emotionally charged times.

Outside of her legal work, Ms. Holdener is an active volunteer and community leader. She has been involved in various charities, including the Sacramento Children’s Fund and the Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento No. 1032.
